Central payments for hotels
We offer configurable options to cater to different payment and hotel policies. At the heart of our service is the desire to provide customized solutions that best fit the needs of your team.
There are four types of payment methods you can explore with Routespring:
Prepaid inventory
- Streamline company expenses with a corporate card. Manage and track transactions in one centralized location.
- Typically, rates are lower than retail prices.
- Loyalty points are not offered to travelers.
Postpay inventory (default configuration)
- Traveling guests earn loyalty points throughout their stay
- Without a Conferma* solution, centralizing payments won’t be possible. As a result, travelers will be required to make payments directly at the hotel.
*Conferma Pay platform offers virtual payment solutions for corporate travel.(More info here)
Post-pay inventory with Conferma and settle payments via bank account
- Onboard your bank account on Conferma to manage hotel payments. Onboarding typically takes 2-3 weeks.
- The fee for each Conferma transaction is $1.80.
- Here’s a list of supported banking partners.
Post-pay inventory with Conferma and settle payments via prepayment
- Maintain a prepayment balance with Routespring to pay for hotels & flights, and Routespring will use that to pay for any flight and hotel reservations.
- Conferma charges $1.80 per hotel transaction (no additional fee for car rental or flight bookings)
Conferma for postpay inventory with payments via your corporate card
- Use your corporate card to settle payments, without bank account onboarding.
- Credit card payments will incur a 3.5% processing fee, along with a $1.80 per Conferma transaction fee.
A quick refresher on Conferma
- Routespring uses Conferma to automate credit card authorization for hotel bookings. We link your bank to ConfermaPay, and a virtual card is generated and sent to the hotel.
- The hotel charges the transaction on that virtual card, and the amount is deducted from your account at the time of the transaction.
Check out the flowchart below for a detailed explanation of how Conferma works. Additionally, we’ve included a document that explains the process in depth.
Routespring would be happy to assist you in whatever you’re inclining towards. Let us know your preferences at trip@routespring.com, and we’ll cover the rest!
