User roles
Routespring allows you to configure different user roles based on their nature of participation with you/company.
1. Admin user
The admin user has access to the ‘Company Dashboard’ as well as the travel booking platform. This user can manage everything available in your ‘Company Dashboard’.
To add an admin user, navigate to Company Dashboard > People > Users, or click here; then click on ‘add user’, fill out all the required details and check the box which says “admin”.
2. Traveler
The traveler has access only to the travel booking platform and cannot manage functions available in the ‘Company Dashboard’.
To add the user as a traveler, navigate to Company Dashboard > People > Users, or click here; then click on ‘add user’, fill out all the required details, but do not check the box which says “admin”.
3. Approver
The approver is an ‘admin user’ who is assigned as an ‘approver’ for certain users. Approvers are able to view any pending approvals of users assigned to them and take action of approving/disapproving the request. Since ‘approver’ is an admin user, it has access to the ‘Company Dashboard’ as well as the travel booking platform. This user can manage everything available in your ‘Company Dashboard’.
You can assign any admin user as an approver under the department’s default approver(s), and also under the user’s approver(s).
4. Guest traveler
The guest traveler is an external user who is not an active user in your company. They do not have access to the ‘Company Dashboard’ or the travel booking platform. However, any travel booked for them will be shown in your reports and analytics.
Any user who has ‘book for others’ enabled in their user settings, can make a booking for ‘guest traveler’.
5. Guest user
We are building an ability for you to add a guest user, who will receive an invitation to book travel using your policy and/or the payment method. This will allow your guests to manage their own travel without you or your team having to manage travel on their behalf. You will receive more updates on this when this functionality is made available for your account.
